The UCP-LC family of panels represent a completely new approach to router control panels. These panels use dynamic labelling of high-resolution LCD switches and touchscreen displays to provide a completely “soft” user interface which is driven by a unique user-confi gurable menu system to provide a very powerful yet user-friendly means of controlling any routing system. The main focus of the development of these panels was to provide a means to control very large routers where the traditional “category/number” addressing system can be very limiting. The result of this work is a new menu-driven system with an unlimited tree and folder architecure that allows the user to build a panel structure that is directly related to the application, rather than forcing the user to work within a strict panel structure.
