All LwLVision systems consist of a computer module (transmitter) and a user module (receiver). It extends keyboard, digital/analog video (DVI-D/VGA), mouse, audio and RS232 signals via fibre optic (2 fibres) up to 10.000 m. The transmission lengths are aligned to the applied fibre optic. Through multimode fibres the signal is transmitted up to 550 m; using singlemode fibres the transmission length can reach up to 10.000 m.The transparent USB 2.0 signal can be transmitted optionally. Transparent USB 2.0 signals are transmitted up to 2.000 m. The multi-channel variant of the LwLVision enables to transmit two video signals. To transmit an additional video distance, a further optical fibre is required.
The resolution of the video signal can be up to 1920 × 1200 @ 60 Hz. DDC-Information is transmitted transparently between monitor and graphic card.
The power is supplied through a power pack which provides a line filter to decrease electronic interferences. To increase the reliability, redundant power can be additionally ordered for the LwLVision system. The connected computer can either be operated through the workstation at the transmitter or through the workstation at the receiver. At the workstation modul PS/2 and USB mouses can be operated.
