All DVIMUX switch keyboard, digital (DVI-D) and analog video (VGA), mouse as well as audio signals.
The DVIMUX can be operated in mixed mode (VGA and DVI-D). Therefore, the connected monitor has to support both types of video signal. The DVIMUX can be purchased as a variant for connecting either a PS/2 keyboard and mouse or a USB keyboard and mouse. The USB variant also switches USB 2.0 signals (High Speed, 480MBit/s, High Power up to 500mA).
The distance between the computer and the device can be up to 5 m. Applying the DVIMUX enables operating up to eight computers via one workstation. The video signal type that is transmitted from the computer to the DVIMUX is connected through to the attached monitor without modification. The resolution of the digital video signal reaches up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz with the 2-port Version; DVIMUX2 (supports Dual-Link DVI). With the 4- and 8-port version the resolutions reaches up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.
All DVIMUX do an analog resolution of up to 1920 x 1440 @ 75 Hz. Digitally, the colour depth is 24 bits. The computer is switched via push buttons on the front panel or via keyboard hotkeys. Through a setup mode, you can adjust the DVIMUX to your demands (for example setting the keyboard scan code set, the hotkeys, or the select keys).
