As HR specialists and innovators in implementing flexible work for both themselves and clients, Persol Group have become experts in selecting devices that allow people to be more productive, wherever they are. “We conduct research and development on new ways of working, not just for us, but as part of the service we provide our customers,” explains the General Manager of Persol’s IT Headquarters, Mr Hatakeyama.

“You can depend on Jabra”

Every time Persol look into investing in new equipment, the answer has been Jabra. “We first introduced Jabra products in 2012, purchasing 5,000 headsets to use with Skype for Business. We’d conducted extensive tests and Jabra performed best". When the time came to replace those headsets in 2020, once again, the choice was Jabra. “When selecting our new headsets, the primary consideration was that they needed to be Microsoft Teams certified and that narrowed things down considerably. Based on our experience with Jabra, I already knew the products were reliable. When we factored in cost and speed of procurement, I couldn’t think of anyone more suitable.” Mr Hatakeyama, General Manager of Persol’s IT Headquarters.

Work is something you do. Not somewhere you go.

As part of their goal to use technology to help every employee do their best work, Persol have opened up hybrid working options, with 70% of their work force working remotely and joining calls from homes or cafes. “Every new employee receives a laptop and an Evolve 20, so there is no headache keeping track of who does and doesn’t have one” explains Mr Komiya from Group IT Headquarters. Jabra Evolve 20 headsets feature an incredible noise-canceling microphone, which helps makes hybrid work easier for staff. Mr Hirawa enthuses “With the Evolve 20, even if someone is in a busy place like a café, the other people on the call can’t hear any distracting background noise. I’ve been in meetings with people who were in a cafe or a diner, and they would ask, ‘Hey, is this cafe too loud?’ or ‘Are the people at the table behind me too noisy?’ but I couldn’t hear a thing. Now no-one worries about it. You don’t have to search around for a quiet spot, you can just sit down and join a meeting, wherever you are.”

Boost efficiency. Increase productivity.

By investing in Evolve 20 and opening up remote locations for meetings, Persol not only boosted the efficiency of those meetings, but also freed up their previously fully booked internal conference rooms. As Mr Komiya reveals; “In the past, we often had to postpone or reschedule meetings because our conference rooms were fully booked. Now people can use their Evolve 20 to join from wherever they are, so we almost never have to reschedule due to lack of meeting space, and the number of meetings we can have has increased as a result.”

Meeting demand

For those people meeting in the conference rooms, Persol have also been benefitting from the superior audio performance of the Jabra Speak 510 speakerphone.
