Challenge:
The primary objective was to improve operator efficiency and ergonomics, thereby reducing physical stress.
The design needed to allow for future reconfiguration and offer a compatible solution across all control rooms for operator familiarity.
The facility required that the consoles incorporate advanced cable management to work seamlessly with technology in a highly sensitive environment.
Winsted’s Customized Solution:
The design resulted in improved sightlines, reach distances and equipment placement by incorporating four dual height-adjustable consoles with custom technical credenzas. Toe kick heaters and desktop fans were integrated to enhance operator comfort.
Systems modules and operator workspaces are interchangeable and modular to allow for expansion, reconfiguration and re-deployment without cutting nor the use of non-standard tools.
Upgraded cable raceways enhance the integration of technology and streamline usability, thereby guaranteeing the smooth execution of operator tasks.
