Description

Dealer: All Pro Sound

Product: Various Studio Ensembles in Custom Quartered Walnut

Project Description: The School of Music at this University was destroyed by flooding in 2008.  In 2013, bid documents were created by Jaffe Holden to furnish (5) control rooms and production offices.  Each room had different equipment requirements and furniture footprints depending on the available space and desired function.  All (5) designs were different L-shaped configurations which supported racked equipment in the cabinet bodies and/or patch racks on the work surface and accommodated or supported a couple of different models of mixing boards.  The solid wood edging profile on each unit was matched to the profile of the mixer for a fully custom appearance.

The building was entirely new construction and as a result of the construction schedule, we did not begin production on the furniture until May of 2016.  Delivery took place in July.

“Tailoring the designs to meet the different studio requirements presented a fun challenge.   Coordinating the details on projects of this nature is an important step to assure things turn out as planned.  A lot can change when it comes to AV equipment over a period of 3 years!”

“I definitely appreciate your team’s willingness to work with the rest of the design team and contractors to get all the finishes properly matched, something that was very closely tracked by the architects on the job. The users were very pleased with the build quality of the furniture.”
